 1.  Sunday, March 25:  The Young Life Walk/Run

2.  Sunday, March 25:  The “Day of the Unborn Child”

3.  Tuesday, March 27:  “Hands Off My Health Care” Rally in DC

There will be a rally on Capitol Hill from 1:00 p.m., calling on the Supreme Court to rule that the Obama Health Care Plan is unconstitutional.  Speakers include Sen. Jim DeMint and Cong. Michelle Bachman.  Buses leave from WalMarts in Staunton at 9:00 a.m., Harrisonburg at 9:45, and Woodstock at 10:20, then depart DC at 4:00 p.m.  Click on this link to Sign up today to ride a bus to the rally on March 27th!, then click on “Virginia Buses”, and follow the prompts. 4.  Thursday, March 29:  Shenandoah Valley Prayer Breakfast

This 49th annual Prayer Breakfast will be from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. at JMU. The program will feature Holly Leachman, nationally known retreat leader and conference speaker, along with award-winning songwriter and performer John Mandeville.  For details and reservations, go to www.valleyprayerbreakfast.org.

 

5.  Saturday, March 31:  Brad Huddleston Ministries Annual Banquet

6.  Saturday, April 14:  Luray Life Center Dinner and Program

7.  Saturday, April 21:  Harrisonburg Pregnancy Center’s “Walk for Life” -- New Location!

9.  Thursday, May 3:  National Day of Prayer

There are only 48 more days to the 61st annual observance on this year’s theme of “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” from Ps. 33:12.  VA Secretary of Agriculture Matt Lohr will be the keynote speaker at the First Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg at 7:00 p.m.  Stay tuned for details on locations and speakers for other programs throughout the Valley.  For help in planning an event for your church or in your community, go to www.nationaldayofprayer.org.

 

10.  Tuesday, May 8:  Wingfield’s Annual Banquet

The Steve Wingfield Evangelistic Association’s banquet will be at 6:30 p.m. at JMU.  Steve will unveil plans for “Victory Weekends” at NASCAR races throughout the region. 11.  Monday, May 14:  “A Salute to the Family” Dinner with Tom Minnery!

Our 10th anniversary Celebration will be at 6:30 p.m. at JMU.  Keynote speaker Tom Minnery is Senior VP for Government and Public Policy at Focus on the Family and author of Why You Can’t Stay Silent.  Early-Bird reservations are available until April 1 only for complete tables of eight at $25/person, with general reservations after that date.  You can reserve by return mail or by calling (540) 438-8966.
